The Australian government is testing an app to enforce its quarantine rules. The state will text people at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face and text the government. The government of South Australia, one of the country’s six states, developed and is now testing an app as Orwellian as any in the free world to enforce its quarantine rules.

Returning travelers quarantining at home will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation.

The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be, reported The Atlantic.

Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person.

“We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes,” Premier Steven Marshall explained.

“I think every South Australian should feel pretty proud that we are the national pilot for the home-based quarantine app.”

Other states also curtailed their citizens’ liberty in the name of safety. The state of Victoria announced a curfew and suspended its Parliament for key parts of the pandemic.

“To put this in context, federal and state parliaments sat during both world wars and the Spanish Flu, and curfews have never been imposed,” the scholar John Lee observed in an article for the Brookings Institution.

“In responding to a question about whether he had gone too far with respect to imposing a curfew (avoiding the question of why a curfew was needed when no other state had one), Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews replied: ‘it is not about human rights. It is about human life.’”

However, earlier Dan Andrews admitted that the seven-day state-wide lockdown in Australia was not based on science but a lie that COVID-19 was found in wastewater,

Meanwhile, a Washington public school is forcing unvaccinated students to wear ankle monitors without their parents consent.

According to Mississippi Health Office, the patients of COVID-19 who refuse to self-isolate may be fined $5000 and even sent to 5 years in jail or both.

As GreatGameIndia reported earlier, students at Connecticut’s Quinnipiac University will be fined up to $2,275 and lose internet access if they fail to comply with the university’s COVID-19 vaccination policies.

  10. All the government is trying to do is stop Coronavirus from spreading to the general population, from incoming passengers who potentially have it and have to self isolate for 10 to 14 days, without any Flu like symptoms becoming apparent..

    Some States in Australia don’t have Coronavirus/Covid anything, at all and they carry on their lives normally and always have, while the rest of the world tries to manage Covid variants and fails miserably.

    Do I agree with this policy, yes I do.

    Australia is really a huge island with no connection to any other country, it is surrounded by sea on all sides and it seems pretty simple thinking to me that isolating Delta and eventually getting rid of it for good is the best policy, no matter how long it takes for that to happen.

    Australia can do it, just like New Zealand has, it just takes a bit of time and more caring people who have been allowed to return to Aussie, for whatever reason, to show their regards for those who don’t have Delta, don’t want it and don’t want it in Australia ever.

  12. Well now… That’s absolutely insane. So, is this only required for people who flew into Australia, or for all of us? I absolutely do not agree with such restrictive and punitive laws.

    The thing that also sickens me to the core was hearing that people would be fined a lot of money, sent to prison for 5 years, or both. That is absolutely appalling, highly unacceptable! Is anyone speaking out against that? Because that needs to be stopped.

    Then the one where they, without parents consent, place ankle monitors on unvaccinated students? I had never known such laws even existed at all… I am shocked… Almost too shocked for words… Is anyone going against these laws, or are they submitting? Maybe they don’t have the power to fight back. Personally, I’d say to homeschool your children. But if they want to keep taking their children to that school, also knowing about this law, then that’s honestly the parents fault for not going against it by taking their children out of school. It would be the only way to show your opposition to such a law as that.

    Now. I must say that I politely disagree with Richard Noakes comment. I say that such laws are really unheeded and far too overreaching. We need a fine balance, not draconian laws like this. We are becoming almost like China now. Did you know that just a few days ago, a bill had passed. It is the Police Surveillance Bill. It was made back in 2020 I believe, and only now has it been passed. Do you know what this could entail? It’s said that it’s only going to be used for criminal purposes, however. You know there are corrupt police, don’t you? This new power the Police have acquired allows them to hack into your computer and it’s data. They can impersonate you, they can take control of your device. People have speculated that with such power, takes away our privacy. It also allows corrupt Police to plant false incriminating evidence on you for whatever reason they have against you. Lot’s of things can happen. This is not something to celebrate. As far as I know. Nothing like that has so far happened, but I wonder when something will happen like that? I can see them doing something like that against people who expose Police corruption or MSM lies. Such as Aussie Cossak for example.

    I also don’t agree with Richard Noakes comment because people who have been vaccinated are still capable of being infected by Covid-19.

    My source? Please take a look at Dr. Sam Bailey and her videos on Covid-19. I trust her and find her to be a reliable source of unbiased and honest information. Her personality and the way she speaks tells me that she tries her best to stick to the facts. She has never lied as far as i can tell. She isn’t influenced by any political sides, as she herself is apolitical, thus free from political bias. Politics shouldn’t effect science regardless, but unfortunately it can sometimes.

    What I especially like and appreciate about Dr. Sam Bailey is that she was once “fact checked” by a group of “fact checkers.” She analyzed their content and not only did she counter all of their “facts” but, she also dug even deeper to figure out who exactly were these “fact checkers.” It’s an interesting video and fascinating.

    But I recommend watching her videos from the start in chronological order so you don’t miss out on a single video. You know what would be really nice though? I’d love to see her set up a live stream so that she can discuss the topic of Covid-19 with her audience and answer any questions they may have regarding Covid-19. I reckon she’d be done for that and it would be a pleasure to watch. Even more nice would be if she invited a group of scientists that specializes in virus stuff. I think like epidemiologist’s, immunologist’s, etc. That would be very cool go see and I reckon she’d do it as she isn’t going to try and hide and cherry pick her info or have biases. She’d do it I bet and it would be nice to see. But I want her to invite all of them, not just a select few. And ultimately, it would be nice if she can invite Dr. Fucci onto her channel and discuss about Covid-19 with him, that one everyone would be interested in. Another Dr. On YouTube got to talk with him, Dr. Mike. Would be good to see Dr. Sam Bailey interview Dr. Fucci too.

    It would also be nice to see Dr. Sam Bailey and Dr. Mike to converse with each other on the topic of Covid-19. I wish I could suggest these ideas to her, but I have no YouTube account so I can’t. I hope someone could share these ideas with her, I think she’d take up the idea.

    With all that said. My stance on this is ultimately that these restrictions and punitive punishments are far too draconian and overreaching, to the point where it’s starting to be far too much and that we should not be accepting any of this. But, what can we even do about it, protest? Pfft. It does nothing. Government aren’t going to care about a measly protest. You think they’ll be scared by that? Haha, ok. No… The only way to get them to listen, is if we had power, immense power. Power always wins. Why would someone with power listen to those who lack it? They’ll just crush any opposition anyone that try to defy them. This is how it is going to be from here on out, accept it. Don’t fight back, you will fail. It will take a legion to even stand a single chance at the government. I don’t suggest violence though, but only if they try to shut us up, then use appropriate levels of violence to retaliate back. We may not win though, perhaps it is far too late now…
