WATCH: South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem Refuses To Make Wearing Double Masks Mandatory

Asked about the new CDC guidelines, Governor Kristi Noem said her policies are based on scientific data and that wearing double masks won't be mandatory in South Dakota.

Joe: "You have been resistant to implement mask mandates. You are skeptical of their efficacy."

Gov. Kristi Noem: "I never said that Joe. Don’t put words in my mouth."

"What I have said is the appropriate mask at the appropriate time, utilized correctly and kept sanitary can make a difference.""

But I also don’t believe its my role to mandate that people wear a mask."
