Viagra Lowers The Risk Of Heart Disease In Men By Up To 39 Percent

While drugs like Viagra and Cialis have been traditionally used to treat ED, new research suggests that these drugs may also have benefits for heart health. Viagra lowers the risk of heart disease in men by up to 39 percent.

Viagra Lowers The Risk Of Heart Disease In Men By Up To 39 Percent

The small blue tablet has benefits beyond just one area of the body.

A recent study has shown that taking Viagra can decrease the chance of heart disease by as much as 39% for men. Additionally, men who use the medication also appear to have a lower risk of premature death from any cause.

Scientists from the University of Southern California studied a group of 70,000 adult males who had an average age of 52 and had been diagnosed with erectile dysfunction at some point in their lives.

The drug’s effects on increasing blood flow to the heart’s arteries and better oxygenation throughout the body have led experts to think that it may also help lower the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, which can be caused by decreased blood flow to the brain.

Previous studies have also found a correlation between the usage of Viagra and a decrease in the likelihood of developing Alzheimer’s, which can be linked to poor blood flow to the brain.

While the findings of this research are encouraging, it is not advised to use the drug for purposes other than what it has been approved for, which is treating erectile dysfunction.

The drug helps by relaxing the muscles of the penis, enabling a greater flow of blood to it. Additionally, it also makes the blood thinner, which improves circulation in the body.

When a man becomes aroused, the improved blood flow results in a stronger erection.

As men age, they are more susceptible to conditions such as high blood pressure that thickens the blood and reduces circulation in the body.

As a result, they are more likely to experience erectile dysfunction due to these conditions.

The most recent study, which was published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, compiled data from over 70,000 men who were diagnosed with erectile dysfunction between 2006 and 2020.

With the use of medical records, the study determined which men had taken ED drugs and if they experienced any heart-related issues during the follow-up period.

Out of the population studied, 23,816 men had used the medication to help with ED, while the remaining 48,682 did not.

After taking into account factors such as race, height and weight, the study found that those who had used the medication were less likely to experience heart problems.

The study showed a significant decrease in deaths from heart conditions, with a drop of almost 40 percent.

Additionally, those who used ED drugs were found to be 17 percent less likely to experience heart failure, which occurs when the heart doesn’t pump as effectively.

Participants who used the medication were 15 percent less likely to need a procedure called coronary revascularization, which is used to clear blockages in the heart’s arteries.

They also had a 22 percent reduced risk of developing unstable angina, a condition caused by plaque in the coronary artery that prevents oxygen and blood flow to the heart.

All of these conditions can be fatal if not treated and significantly increase the risk of a fatal heart attack.

The study also found that men who used ED drugs had a longer life expectancy, with a 25% decrease in the risk of premature death during the study period.

‘[Use of the drugs] was associated with lower incidence of [heart complications], cardiovascular death, and overall mortality risk compared to non-exposure,’ researchers wrote.

While the study did not investigate the specific reasons behind the correlation between ED drugs and better heart health, the researchers speculate that it may be due to previous research findings.

These studies have shown that using ED drugs can lower blood pressure, which improves circulation throughout the body and reduces the risk of clots and other blockages that lead to serious heart problems.

This is because the medication makes the blood thinner, allowing it to flow more easily to the penis, resulting in stronger erections.

It also improves circulation in the brachial artery, a major blood vessel that supplies blood to the upper arm, elbow, and hand.

Research conducted on mice cited by the study found that those exposed to ED drugs had less severe heart attacks. Additionally, a study from 2014 found that men who used ED drugs had a lower risk of developing dementia, due to the increased blood flow in the brain.

52 percent of men will experience ED at some point, with the risk rising with age, according to a Danish study (read below) published in 2018.

It is believed that more than 10 million men in the United States and 40 million men worldwide currently have erectile dysfunction.

Researchers in Sweden released a study last year that explained how Viagra could be utilized to relieve excessive blood pressure and extend men’s lives. In light of this, Brazilian military bought a massive stock of Viagra to treat hypertension. However, this has led Jair Bolsonaro to become the target of massive criticism.

Many of these men use drugs such as Viagra or Cialis to manage their symptoms.

Although data is limited, there are anecdotal reports of younger men in their 20s using these drugs to manage performance anxiety and other sexual issues.
