Rami Ungar is an Israeli billionaire and one of the owners of the cargo ship Galaxy Leader, which was hijacked in the Red Sea and has ties with Mossad.
This week, the Ansar Allah organization in Yemen took control of an Israeli-owned cargo ship in the Red Sea, opening a new "front" in Israel's conflict with Gaza. Earlier, Brigadier General Yahya Saree had declared that Israeli-owned or operated warships as well as ships flying the national flag would be attacked by Yemenis. Saree demanded that all states remove their individuals who were employed as ship crew members.
“Avoid shipping on or handling these vessels. Inform your ships to stay away from these ships,” Saree said.
The vessel's detention was described as a "global scale incident" by the Israeli Defence Ministry. Meanwhile, Iran was held responsible for the incident by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.
