The Paul Pelosi attacker has been charged with assault and attempted kidnapping. The attacker, DePape, informed officers that he planned to hold Nancy Pelosi hostage and threaten to break her kneecaps if she did not disclose the truth.
The individual accused of assaulting Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) husband was charged with assault and attempted kidnapping on Oct. 31.
David DePape, 42, was arrested on charges of assaulting Paul Pelosi, 82, and attempting to kidnap Nancy Pelosi, 82.
DePape was charged in federal court in northern California three days after reportedly breaking into the Pelosi household in San Francisco and assaulting Paul Pelosi.
If found guilty on both counts, he may spend up to 50 years in prison.
According to Zachary Stieber of The Epoch Times, San Francisco law enforcement personnel reacted to a 911 call from Paul Pelosi in the early hours of Friday and saw DePape and Paul Pelosi each having a hand on the same hammer after the door was opened.
At 2:31 a.m., San Francisco Police Department (“SFPD”) Officer Colby Wilmes responded to the Pelosi residence, California and knocked on the front door.
When the door was opened, Pelosi and DEPAPE were both holding a hammer with one hand and DEPAPE had his other hand holding onto Pelosi’s forearm.
Pelosi greeted the officers.
The officers asked them what was going on.
DEPAPE responded that everything was good.
Officers then asked Pelosi and DEPAPE to drop the hammer.
In addition to finding zip ties within the home’s bedroom, the police also discovered a journal, a roll of tape, a hammer, a pair of gloves, and white rope within a backpack.
Officers discovered evidence that DePape entered the residence from the building’s rear.
A witness reported seeing a person walking close to the Pelosi household while carrying a large black bag and dressed entirely in black. While DePape entered the bedroom and announced that he wanted to speak with Nancy Pelosi, Paul Pelosi claimed that he was asleep at the time. Even though Paul Pelosi stated that his wife would not be home for a few days, DePape insisted on waiting.
Paul Pelosi made a 911 call while in the restroom.
Paul Pelosi allegedly stated on dispatch recordings that he was with a man he called “a friend” and that the man planned to wait for his wife.
After receiving the call, the operator dispatched officers to the residence.
DePape informed officers that he planned to hold Nancy Pelosi hostage and threatened to break her kneecaps if she did not disclose the truth.
According to the criminal complaint, DEPAPE offered the following information in a Mirandized and recorded interview with San Francisco Police Department Officers:
a. DEPAPE stated that he was going to hold Nancy hostage and talk to her. If Nancy were to tell DEPAPE the “truth,” he would let her go, and if she “lied,” he was going to break “her kneecaps.”
DEPAPE was certain that Nancy would not have told the “truth.”
In the course of the interview, DEPAPE articulated he viewed Nancy as the “leader of the pack” of lies told by the Democratic Party.
DEPAPE also later explained that by breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions.
DEPAPE also explained generally that he wanted to use Nancy to lure another individual to DEPAPE.
b. DEPAPE stated that he broke into the house through a glass door, which was a difficult task that required the use of a hammer.
DEPAPE stated that Pelosi was in bed and appeared surprised by DEPAPE. DEPAPE told Pelosi to wake up. DEPAPE told Pelosi that he was looking for Nancy. Pelosi responded that she was not present. Pelosi asked how they could resolve the situation, and what DEPAPE wanted to do. DEPAPE stated he wanted to tie Pelosi up so that DEPAPE could go to sleep as he was tired from having had to carry a backpack to the Pelosi residence.
Around this time, according to DEPAPE, DEPAPE started taking out twist ties from his pocket so that he could restrain Pelosi. Pelosi moved towards another part of the house, but DEPAPE stopped him and together they went back into the bedroom.
c. While talking with each other, Pelosi went into a bathroom, where Pelosi grabbed a phone to call 9-1-1.
DEPAPE stated he felt like Pelosi’s actions compelled him to respond.
d. DEPAPE remembered thinking that there was no way the police were going to forget about the phone call.
DEPAPE explained that he did not leave after Pelosi’s call to 9-1-1 because, much like the American founding fathers with the British, he was fighting against tyranny without the option of surrender.
DEPAPE reiterated this sentiment elsewhere in the interview.
e. DEPAPE stated that they went downstairs to the front door. The police arrived and knocked on the door, and Pelosi ran over and opened it. Pelosi grabbed onto DEPAPE’s hammer, which was in DEPAPE’s hand.
At this point in the interview, DEPAPE repeated that DEPAPE did not plan to surrender and that he would go “through” Pelosi.
f. DEPAPE stated that he pulled the hammer away from Pelosi and swung the hammer towards Pelosi.
DEPAPE explained that Pelosi’s actions resulted in Pelosi “taking the punishment instead.”
Paul Pelosi and DePape were both transported to the hospital for medical attention.
According to Nancy Pelosi’s office, Paul Pelosi required surgery for a skull fracture and fractures to his hands. Nancy Pelosi sent a statement over the weekend stating that Paul Pelosi’s condition “continues to improve.”
DePape will also face a plethora of criminal charges, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, and elder abuse, according to local prosecutors.
As though that were not enough, a source with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) informed Fox News that DePape was an illegal immigrant and a “longtime” overstayer of a visa, implying that although he entered the country legally, he stayed after it expired and was never sent back home. DePape was born in Canada and has lived in the United States for around 20 years.
So, in essence, a Berkeley nudist and illegal immigrant with a pedophile ex-wife flees his BLM-adorned, LGBT-supporting residence and attacks the Pelosi mansion in the hopes of obtaining the “truth” from the Speaker and “fighting against tyranny”.
