Early Life
Kim was raised in Geochang County initially. A brother and a sister are among his younger siblings; he is the oldest son of the group. Career
2013: Initial Phase of Career
2013 saw Kim make his singing debut with the label Big Hit Entertainment. Later on, it was revealed that he had been chosen to join the BTS group. His group at the time worked to conceal his identity in order to stir up public interest. Kim feared that he may be expelled from the group, nevertheless. He later admitted that he felt anxious and alone as he considered the reasons why his identity was kept a secret.
On June 13, 2013, Kim made his BTS debut by singing the song “No More Dream” from their debut single album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. When he co-wrote and co-produced the song “Hold Me Tight” for The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1, he received his first music composition credit.

After that, Kim met with bandmate J-hope, cooperated with a Swedish singer named Zara Larsson and released a brand-new song titled “A brand new day”.
