Here’s Why James O’Keefe Quit Project Veritas

Early this month, James O’Keefe confronted one executive during a meeting and threatened to leave Project Veritas if the individual did not follow his lead, which could be why he quit Project Veritas.

Here's Why James O'Keefe Quit Project Veritas 1

James O’Keefe, the creator and CEO of Project Veritas, is leaving the company.

In a moving 15-minute video, O’Keefe informed his staff on Monday that he was quitting due to a disagreement over vision between himself and the board.

“Throughout my 13 years doing this my mission has evolved,” O’Keefe said in his announcement.

“Over the last few weeks I have felt a lot of despair and seen a lot of evil and felt overcome with various emotions.”

O’Keefe, who was visibly moved, thanked his staff but pointed out that:

“The external threats and pressure inflicted upon myself has been unimaginable,” O’Keefe continued.

According to The Daily Beast, workers have complained about O’Keefe’s management and claimed he wasted money and was “outright cruel” to his personnel.

As O’Keefe notes, there has been much speculation concerning the timing of this incident:

A few days after the Pfizer story, I was informed by an officer of Project Veritas that he would resign unless I step down as CEO. We’ve been having a conflict of vision over fundraising, there were tactical disagreements about the boldness of approach soliciting donations.”

O’Keefe claimed that on February 2, he confronted one executive during a meeting and threatened to leave the group if the individual did not follow his lead.

The individual was subsequently fired by O’Keefe.

Later that day, a different official notified O’Keefe that he would be presenting a restructuring proposal to the Project Veritas board.

O’Keefe claimed he received the agenda for the board meeting just before boarding his aircraft and that it was planned to begin as soon as he touched down.

“It became clear to me in that moment [that] I would be removed from my position at Project Veritas,” O’Keefe said.

When contacted for comment, neither Project Veritas nor its representatives answered the phone.

Last month, Project Veritas released a new video in which it exposed a Pfizer official, Jordan Trishton Walker, who claimed that his business was looking into a means to “mutate” COVID using “directed evolution” in order to foresee the development of future vaccines.

O’Keefe claimed he’s not done with Project Veritas, which he began in 2010.

He said that “the mission continues” but will “perhaps take on a new name.”

“I’ll make sure you know how to find me,” he told Project Veritas employees. “I hope to see some of you soon.”

O’Keefe ally R.C. Maxwell said on Twitter that O’Keefe had been “removed from his CEO position by the Project Veritas board.”

“They are in charge now,” Maxwell said.

Invoking a board memo, O’Keefe claimed that he has been suspended “indefinitely without compensation.”

“I don’t know why this has happened or specifically why this has happened suddenly,” O’Keefe continued, adding he has “documentation” of everything.

There isn’t a new statement from the board as of yet.
