Texas Governor Greg Abbott officially declared invasion at the southern border by Mexican drug cartels in a post on Thursday.
Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, has proclaimed an “invasion” at the southern border and has blamed the Mexican drug cartels for it. This announcement comes as Governor Abbott adopts a stern stance against the deteriorating security situation and the increase in illegal activity from outside the country.
“I officially declared an invasion at our border because of Biden’s policies. We deployed the Texas National Guard, DPS & local law enforcement. We are building a border wall, razor wire & marine barriers. We are also repelling migrants,” Governor Abbott announced in a post on Thursday.
“Texas will continue to install more razor wire and fortify the border against illegal crossings. After the Biden administration removed the implanted razor wires, Abbott said in another X post, “We will not back down.”
The razor wires were removed on Wednesday by the Biden administration, “opening the floodgates to illegal immigrants.”
Since President Joe Biden entered office on January 20, 2021, the number of illegal immigrants caught at the U.S.-Mexico border has increased, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). 1.73 million persons were detained by CBP at the southwest border in the fiscal year 2021, which was a record high since 2006. Alarmingly, 2.38 million persons were detained by CBP at the southwest border in fiscal year 2022, the most since 1993. CBP has so far detained 1.97 million people for the year 2023.
On November 16, 2022, Governor Abbott wrote a stern letter to Joe Biden, U.S. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland, and U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas to back up his public statement.
Without holding back, the letter accuses the Biden administration of breaking the US Constitution by failing to defend the States from invasion as guaranteed in Article IV, Section 4.
“The federal government’s failure has forced me to invoke Article I, 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution,” the governor writes in the letter, “thereby enabling the State of Texas to protect its own territory against invasion by the Mexican drug cartels.”
The dire consequences of the border issue on neighborhood neighborhoods are highlighted in Abbott’s letter, which provides a bleak picture of the situation in Texas.
“Ranches are being ripped apart, and homes are vulnerable to intrusion. Our border communities are regularly disrupted by human traffickers and bailouts. Deadly fentanyl is crossing the porous border to such a degree that it is now the leading cause of death for citizens between the ages of 18 and 45,” the letter reads.
The Governor’s letter also acts as a legal manifesto, articulating the legal justifications under Texas’s constitution for taking action on its own. Texas will “intensify our efforts to repel and turn back any immigrant who seeks to enter our State at a border crossing that Congress has designated as illegal; to return to the border those who do cross illegally; and to arrest criminals who violate Texas law,” according to Abbott, citing Article I, 10, Clause 3.
“We are refusing to let them in and sending them back,” said Abbott.
The Governor’s letter ends with a harsh criticism of the Biden administration’s inactivity, claiming that “Your open-border policies, which have catalyzed an unprecedented crisis of illegal immigration, are the sole cause of Texas having to invoke our constitutional authority to defend ourselves.”
House Republicans expressed alarm over the presence of many Russian and Chinese nationals at the U.S. border.
Abbott’s decision to announce an invasion of Texas was praised by Elon Musk, who stated, “No other alternative. Even large cities like New York are being overwhelmed by the enormous inflow.
These invaders are taking advantage of our tax dollars while they are here illegally.
The Biden administration is giving a stunning $2,200 “per month” to illegal immigrant families with one parent and one child through bogus asylum, according to Todd Bensman, the Center’s Senior National Security Fellow located in Texas. This occurs at a time when Maui survivors only earn $700 per month on Social Security, compared to the typical American’s $1,400.
According to Bensman, it appears that interviews for asylum may no longer be required of these unlawful immigrants. They are being granted entry to the US.
Illegal immigrants are “double dipping” the system, according to a video conversation with a Border Patrol agent who asked to remain anonymous. Each month, one parent and one kid each earn $2,200, and then another parent and child—often from the same family—receive $2,200. For some immigrant families, this equates to a staggering $4,400 a month, which is more than many working Americans make.
This data backs the assertions made by the ‘ALIPAC’ legal immigration advocacy group.
“The Biden-Harris administration is giving more money to illegal immigrant invaders, than to our own U.S. citizens,” William Gheen, president of ALIPAC told KTRH, “Once a person understands that, then that person will always be on our side of the illegal immigration debate, which is very simple. Keep them all out, send them all home.”
It goes beyond checks. According to the Border Patrol Agent, these illegal aliens are also offered shelter, food, free medical care, and even a ticket to a location of their choice within the United States.
“They used to do the ankle monitors, and those were being cut off,” he added. “So now they give them phones.”
The Border Patrol Agent went on to say that cartels play an important role in preparing illegal immigrants for border crossing.
“Cartel tells them everything. Word of mouth. These guys know everything that we do. It’s just the way it is,” the agent revealed.
This data reveals that illegal immigrants are quite knowledgeable about American immigration laws and practices, particularly what to say when requesting asylum.
Bensman claims that in addition to receiving training on how to make an asylum claim, these people are also arriving with all required documentation, such as birth certificates that have already been prepared by their home governments.
Veterans and Americans who were homeless were abandoned on the streets under the Biden administration. Social Security only paid seniors $1,400 each month, while survivors of Maui only earned $700. All Americans should be furious about this.
