In yet another case of biological espionage, an unclassified FBI report mentions how a Chinese agent was caught with deadly viruses in his luggage by border patrol while trying to smuggle them into US. The incident took place just over a year before Coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, with deadly SARS virus and flu samples found in the agent’s luggage.

Unclassified FBI Intelligence Report
In late November 2018, just over a year before the first coronavirus case was identified in Wuhan, China, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at Detroit Metro Airport stopped a Chinese biologist with three vials labeled “Antibodies” in his luggage.
The biologist told the agents that a colleague in China had asked him to deliver the vials to a researcher at a U.S. institute. After examining the vials, however, customs agents came to an alarming conclusion, mentions the unclassified FBI tactical intelligence report obtained by Yahoo News.
“Inspection of the writing on the vials and the stated recipient led inspection personnel to believe the materials contained within the vials may be viable Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) materials.”
The report, written by the Chemical and Biological Intelligence Unit of the FBI’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate (WMDD), does not give the name of the Chinese scientist carrying the suspected SARS and MERS samples, or the intended recipient in the U.S. But the FBI concluded that the incident, and two other cases cited in the report, were part of an alarming pattern.
The intelligence report also cites another classified document that is marked “FISA,” meaning it contains information collected under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Another case cited in the report appeared to involve flu strains, and a third was suspected E. coli.
Strategic Scientists for China
As reported by GreatGameIndia earlier, the US Department of Justice announced on January 28, 2020 that the Chair of Harvard University’s Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department Dr. Charles Lieber and two other Chinese Biowarfare agents at Harvard University were caught smuggling viruses and charged.

Beginning in 2011, Lieber became a “Strategic Scientist” at Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) in China and was a contractual participant in China’s Thousand Talents Plan – one of the most prominent Chinese Talent recruit plans that are designed to attract, recruit, and cultivate high-level scientific talent and lure these Chinese overseas and foreign experts to bring their knowledge and experience to China and get rewarded for stealing proprietary information.

Chinese Espionage at Canadian Lab
The FBI intelligence report is consistent with GreatGameIndia‘s investigation which uncovered how Chinese biowarfare agent Xiangguo Qiu and her team smuggled various deadly Coronaviruses from Canada’s National Microbiology Laboratory (NML) to the Wuhan Institute of Virology where it is believed the viruses were weaponized.

Just a week after the publication of our report, the Director of NML under whom the Chinese agents worked died in suspicious conditions in Nairobi, Kenya. Frank Plummer was the key to the entire investigation on the origins of Coronavirus Bioweapon. But will the Canadian government open an investigation into this matter?
Unlike their American counterparts who have charged the Chinese Biowarfare agents trying to smuggle deadly viruses from Harvard University, the deatils of the Canadian investigation on the Winnipeg Biological Espionage case is shrouded in secrecy. Meanwhile, amidst worldwide criticism, a $20 trillion lawsuit has been filed against China for waging Biological war using Coronavirus.
