The new bill called Bill 154 was presented by House. Judy Boyle of Midvale and Sen. Tammy Nichols of Middleton will make it a crime to give the COVID vaccine in Idaho.
Two legislators from Idaho have submitted a bill that would make administering mRNA vaccinations a crime.
Bill 154 was sponsored by House. Judy Boyle of Midvale and Sen. Tammy Nichols of Middleton. On February 15, Nichols presented it before the House Health & Welfare Committee. According to the bill text, “A person may not provide or administer a vaccine developed using messenger ribonucleic acid technology for use in an individual or any other mammal in this state.”
The defendant would then face a misdemeanor charge.
Upon addressing the committee, Nichols stated, “We have issues (the vaccine) was fast-tracked.”
According to Nichols, mRNA vaccines are not subject to liability, informed consent, or data. She later explained that she was referring to the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccinations.
“I think there is a lot of information that comes out with concerns to blood clots and heart issues,” Nichols said.
Rep. Ilana Rubel, a Democrat from Boise, disputed Nichols’ claim that the vaccines were expedited. She said that to the best of her knowledge, the vaccines had undergone testing, been approved, and been later given FDA approval.
It “may not have been done like we thought it should’ve been done,” Nichols added.
“There are other shots we could utilize that don’t have mRNA in it,” Nichols said.
MRNA is a molecule that aids in the production of proteins. According to John Hopkins Medicine, the COVID-19 vaccinations, also known as mRNA vaccines, assist your body in producing proteins that resemble the COVID virus to aid in the body’s defense against infection.
According to John Hopkins, MRNA was discovered in the early 1960s. Some were used to combat the Ebola virus. The use of mRNA to stop other respiratory viruses is currently another area of research.
The National Cancer Institute states that mRNA vaccines are being researched as a possible treatment for many cancers. According to the NCI, the COVID vaccine was made possible by research done to treat cancer patients before the pandemic.
In a recent tweet, Elon Musk revealed that after taking the 2nd COVID-19 booster, he had major side effects, saying he felt like he was dying.
Prior to moving onto the House floor for discussion, the bill must first pass a hearing and subsequent committee vote.
