Did you know there are only 22 countries which have never been invaded by Britain. In 1920, the empire covered roughly 13,700,000 square miles or 24 percent of the total land area of the Earth.
Even though the British Empire only managed to establish its first colony in Ireland in 1556, several decades after Portugal and Spain claimed land on the African continent and the Americas, it still became synonymous with global conflict due to its network of dominions and colonies spanning the whole globe.
According to the InFact chart by Statista (see below), although certainly not all of them became its subjects, Britain’s warfaring efforts only spared precious few countries in the world.
According to the book “All the Countries We’ve Ever Invaded: And the Few We Never Got Round To“, there are only 22 countries Britain never invaded throughout history.
There aren’t many gaps on the map, but some of the more notable include Sweden, Belarus and Vatican City.
The biggest blank spots can be seen on the African continent, even though the Royal African Company founded in 1660 alone was responsible for forcibly removing 212,000 slaves from their homeland and shipping them to English colonies in the Americas between 1662 and 1731.
The British Empire in its various iterations can be seen as one of the longest-lasting Western empires in the world.
Its first permanent overseas colony in the Americas was established in 1607 in Jamestown, Virginia, while Hong Kong, its last big overseas territory, was handed over to China in 1997.

It is through this tax havens that corruption money accumulated through decades by sucking the blood of working Indians is routed back to India as Foreign Direct Investment.
This phenomenon known as ‘Round Tripping’, one of the leading puzzles related to cross border flow of investment is India’s biggest scam. According to international watchdog Global Financial Integrity, India is a parking spot for around USD 101 billion illegal inflow of funds. Although this is a very conservative figure.
According to Australian taxation expert George Rozvany, the Big Four are “the masterminds of multinational tax avoidance and the architects of tax schemes which cost governments and their taxpayers an estimated $US1 trillion a year”.
At the same time they are advising governments (including India) on tax reforms, they are advising their multinational clients how to avoid taxes.
It was reported in 2012 that at least 21 trillion dollars of worldwide ill-gotten money of their elite clients was hidden away by the Big Four in tax havens.

Native Americans were known to be the best trackers of Native Americans for the conquering Europeans. Jews helped Nazis track down fellow Jews, and even served as guards in the concentration camps. However, you never hear ” Native Americans conquered themselves” or “Jews murdered themselves”. But you love to perpetuate this age old falsehood that Africans enslaved themselves. West Africa was “first” conquered by the British, through decades of warfare with west African nations, before any transatlantic slave trade began.
