Many of the most affordable nations have great fixed and mobile broadband infrastructure, which enables companies to offer massive amounts of data at cheap costs. Here's the cost of mobile internet around the world.
The cheapest mobile internet is available in Israel, where one gigabyte of data will cost, on average, only $0.04 in 2022. Israelis own smartphones at a rate of three out of four, surpassing Americans in smartphone adoption.
According to cable.co.uk, a UK-based pricing comparison website that examined 5,292 mobile data plans from 233 different nations, this is the case.
With a low price of $0.12 per 1GB, Italy comes in second place globally, as Statista's Anna Fleck illustrates in the graphic below. The nation has great internet infrastructure, and around 95% of its citizens can currently access 5G. Furthermore, it manages the internet of neighboring San Marino ($0.14), which ranks third in the world.
