In January this year, GreatGameIndia published a story Coronavirus Bioweapon, which has been at the center of the debate on the origins of COVID-19. Even without any official investigation, a section of mainstream media jumped to debunk the story. Within four days, Ryan Broderick, a BuzzFeed News reporter published a lengthy “fact-check” style piece attacking the story and branding us an “Indian conspiracy theory site”. Ryan’s story was one of the first on the issue and and most of the “fact-checkers” picked-up from there. Ryan has now been fired for plagiarism for the same story, including many others. Meanwhile, new evidence have emerged corroborating our story with international investigations launched into the questionable “gain-of-function” experiments at the epicentre Of Coronavirus – the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
BuzzFeed News fired senior reporter Ryan Broderick for plagiarizm or misattributed information in at least 11 of his articles, an individual with knowledge of the matter confirmed to TheWrap.
The reporter, Ryan Broderick, was the author of 11 articles linked in a Friday evening note to readers from BuzzFeed News’ editor in chief, Mark Schoofs, who said the articles in question contained information and phrases that were not properly attributed to their original sources. (Schoofs’ note did not explicitly name Broderick or address whether he had been fired.)
Apart from the piece in which Broderick attacked GreatGameIndia accusing us of “aggressive promotion of misinformation about the coronavirus”, the list of his 11 questionable articles also include report defending Bill Gates.

Meanwhile, newly unclassified investigation documents did confirm that Chinese scientists smuggled deadly viruses from Canadian lab to Wuhan Institute of Virology. When GreatGameIndia first published the report in January, regarding this biological espionage at the Canadian lab, it was viciously attacked by a section of mainstream media, first among whom was Broderick.
The shipment was routed from Winnipeg to Toronto and then to Beijing on a commercial Air Canada flight on Mar. 31, 2019. The shipment was sent just months before the Coronavirus outbreak by Chinese biowarfare agent Dr. Xiangguo Qiu. The names of Qiu’s collaborators in Beijing have been blacked out in the documents.

Meanwhile, the NML director-general involved in the shipment with Qiu resigned from his job “to take his family on a big adventure”. Canadian authorities are still in denial about Qiu’s role in the shipment although released documents mention her by name.
The authorities are also downplaying the investigation dubbing it an “administrative issue”, while heavily redacting crucial information citing national security laws. Qiu not only trained scientists at the Wuhan lab but also helped set it up, which is now under worldwide scrutiny as the epicenter of Coronavirus outbreak.
It has also come to light that American tax-dollars were used to fund controversial gain-of-function research, which is the ability of a virus to jump from animals to humans. The project backed-up by Dr. Anthony Fauci diverted US funds for such experiments at Wuhan lab via a company now under federal investigation.
Many scientists have criticized gain of function research, which involves manipulating viruses in the lab to explore their potential for infecting humans, because it creates a risk of starting a pandemic from accidental release.
