Private photos and videos of the University of Wisconsin women’s volleyball team celebrating their national victory have been leaked online.
One of the players’ phones was the source of the pornographic images of the University of Wisconsin women’s volleyball team that were posted online, reports Mail Online.
The athlete is not under investigation, and the University of Wisconsin Police stated they are investigating whether her cell phone was hacked, but they do not know how the images ended up online.
The Department’s Executive Director of Communications, Marc Lovicott, discussed the investigation with DailyMail.com and provided the following comments: ‘We’re looking into what happened and who may have shared these photos.
‘None of the players are being investigated and we are looking at the possibility that one of their phones was hacked.’

Sharing explicit photos without authorization is prohibited by Wisconsin law, therefore whomever posted the X-rated pictures would have required the consent of all 18 members of the 2021 National Championship winning team.
Lovicott said: ‘This is a unique case because of the high profile of the girls involved and our detectives are working on this case as a priority.’
He added: ‘Our department has worked on cases like this before but many of them involve people threatening to put intimate photos online – blackmail.
‘Nothing like that is suspected in this case and again, this case is unique because of the high profile of the players.’
The 40 images and videos that were posted online over a few weeks and were taken following the Badgers’ victory at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Volleyball Championships last December.
Wisconsin, led by 2021 national player of the year Dana Rettke, defeated Top Ten opponent Nebraska 3-2 to win the championship for the first time after previously coming close.
Images of the players – a few of whom have since graduated – flashing their breasts at the camera in joy during a private celebration in their locker room after the triumph are included in the massive cache of photos.
Current squad members, such as Liz Gregorski, Izzy Ashburn, and Jade Demps, are also included.
The leak was discovered on October 18 when members of the volleyball team saw their images were trending on Tiktok and reported it to authorities.
The following day, a statement from University of Wisconsin Athletics was posted on Twitter: ‘We are aware that private photos and video of UW volleyball student-athletes that were never intended to be shared publicly are being circulated digitally.
‘The unauthorized sharing is a significant and wrongful invasion of the student-athletes’ privacy, including potential violations of university policies and criminal statutes.
‘When the student-athletes became aware of the circulating photos, they contacted the UW-Madison Police Department.
‘UWPD is investigating multiple crimes, including sharing sensitive photos without consent. UWPD is not investigating the volleyball student-athletes for wrongdoing in this matter.
‘Our top priority is supporting our student-athletes and we are providing them with the appropriate services and resources.’
The UW-Madison Police Department is looking into the matter, the athletics department announced late Wednesday in response to questions from student-athletes regarding the pictures and videos.
The players’ performance seems to have been unaffected despite the humiliating leak, as the Badgers defeated Michigan State and the University of Michigan 3-0 and 3-1, respectively.
