On Thursday, the US-based company that provides software for managing sales and services to thousands of car dealerships reported another cyber interruption that affected both new and used car sales.

Car dealership owned by X user According to Guy, auto dealers received an email from CDK Global alerting them to “an additional cyber incident late in the evening on June 19th.”

“Out of continued caution and to protect our customers, we are once again proactively shutting down most of our systems,” the message stated.

“At this time, we do not have an estimated time frame for resolution,” CDX informed its clients, which included over 15,000 dealerships, “thus, our dealers’ systems will not be available at a minimum on Thursday, June 20th.”

With its 3-3.5% GDP contribution, the US auto industry is a major economic force. More than 1.7 million workers are employed by automakers, suppliers, and numerous dealerships.
