UK YouTuber Jokes About Launching Nukes At India

In a series of online posts, a British YouTuber named Miles Routledge has caused massive outrage by joking about launching nuclear bombs to destroy entire countries, including India, over minor issues. The 25-year-old claimed that if he ever became the Prime Minister of the UK, he would threaten other nations with nuclear weapons. He didn’t mention any serious incidents; instead, he said he would be ready to destroy countries “over the smallest infraction.” In one of his posts, which has since been deleted, he specifically mentioned India, saying he might attack it “just for the sake of it.”

The backlash to his comments was immediate, with many people accusing him of making these remarks just to provoke anger and attention, a tactic often referred to as “rage-baiting.” Routledge responded to the criticism with a racist statement, saying he simply didn’t like India and even claimed he could “sense” when someone was Indian, making matters worse.

Things escalated when an anonymous user from India threatened to track him down, promising that he would be forced to apologize. In response, Routledge mocked the threat, posting a screenshot of the message and laughing it off by saying, “Indian threatens to find me, it backfires lmao.”

Rather than back down, Routledge began sharing a flood of offensive, racist memes and AI-generated images, doubling down on his inflammatory statements.

Who is Miles Routledge?

Miles Routledge first gained attention in 2021 when he traveled to Afghanistan during the Taliban takeover. A British student at the time, he went to Kabul just days before the Taliban seized the capital. Despite government warnings to stay away, he wanted to experience the danger firsthand and documented his trip on platforms like 4chan, Facebook, and Twitch. When the situation in Kabul became dire, Routledge found himself stranded. He eventually sought refuge in a safe house before being rescued by the British Army, disguised in a burka to escape detection.

His dramatic escape from Afghanistan earned him notoriety, and in December 2022, he published a book detailing his experience. Since then, Routledge has continued his risky travels, visiting countries like Kazakhstan, Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, Ukraine, and Brazil. His adventures often involved dangerous situations, including false imprisonment and illegal border crossings.

Despite his controversial actions and the outrage he’s sparked, Miles Routledge seems to thrive on the attention, often pushing boundaries and provoking reactions with his extreme and offensive statements.
