But how “moderate” is the daughter of Stanford University Marxist professor Donald Harris, a foreign-born man whose job it was to introduce American undergraduates to radical economics?
Even though Sen. Kamala Harris gave a heartfelt thank you to her family during the Democratic Convention when she received the vice presidential nomination, she omitted any mention of her father, Donald Harris, a Stanford University economics professor who was born in Jamaica.
Maybe this is because, according to a Stanford Daily article from the time, Don Harris is a well-known Marxist who was hired following a “six-month ’round-the-world’ search for the most qualified Marxist professor available.”
Don Harris was publicly and often called a “Marxist professor” in 1970s Stanford Daily pieces.
The following is stated in the Stanford Daily story “Marxist Offered Economics Post” dated May 15, 1975:
Don Harris, a prominent Marxist professor, has been offered a full professorship in the Economics Department here, Department Chairman James Rosse confirmed yesterday…The appointment is the direct result of student pressure in recent years to hire more faculty who favor an “alternative approach” to economics, said Economics Prof. John Gurley, who now teaches the only undergraduate course in Marxist economics. Gurley said the appointment of Harris was the culmination of a six-month “round-the-world” search for the most qualified Marxist professor available.
Gurley called Harris “an exceptionally good teacher, outstanding researcher, and one of the leading young people in Marxist economics…With the addition of Harris, the department would be able to offer a much greater number of courses taught from a Marxist viewpoint.”

First elected to public office, Willie Brown, Jr. had significant assistance from the Communist Party USA. In the San Francisco Bay Area today, Willie Brown is seen by many as one of the Chinese Communist Party’s closest allies. A young San Francisco Radical Maoist activist and member of the STORM Revolutionary Movement named Lateefah Simon was mentored by Kamala Harris while she was the district attorney for San Francisco. Simon is currently the chair of the BART Board. Simon has long maintained strong friendships with Alicia Garza, the originator of Black Lives Matter, and one of the STORM members and avowed Communists, Van Jones, and other Marxist domestic terrorists. Kamala Harris has been vocally and outwardly endorsing Black Lives Matter Marxists; she remains close to Maoist Lateefah Simon and Marxist Alicia Garza.
Kamala Harris has received significant financial support from Phillips for her political efforts in California’s electoral seats. Working for DLA Piper, a legal company that “boasts nearly 30 years of experience in Communist China with over 140 lawyers dedicated to its ‘Communist China investment Services’ branch,” is Doug Emhoff, Harris’ spouse. He recently received a professorship at Yale to teach aspiring attorneys the ins and outs of communism. Karine Jean-Pierre, a pro-communist senator, was appointed by Kamala Harris as her Senate chief of staff after her election to the US Senate. Jean-Pierre participated in the Haiti Support Network, which was situated in New York. Harris-backed ‘Freedom Fund’ that put murderers, rapists back on streets
The website that appears to be still accepting payments has brought attention back to a bail fund that assisted in the release of violent offenders and was previously supported by Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2020 presidential race.
The website was operational and accepted payments as of Monday night.
Harris asked people to donate to the fund during the 2020 campaign by posting on X and later on Twitter, saying, “If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.”
In June 2020, Harris announced the bail fund in an attempt to help liberate Black Lives Matter rioters from prison; however, only a small portion of the more than $41 million raised went toward doing so.
The fund reportedly spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to liberate a convicted rapist who was accused of sexual assault and kidnapping, as well as an accused knife murderer. This information was published by Minneapolis-based FOX 9.
George Howard, a 48-year-old crook, also benefited from the money. Weeks after posting bail on charges of domestic abuse, he allegedly got into a road rage altercation on an Interstate 94 entry ramp before shooting another driver, according to Minneapolis police.
According to St. Paul’s KSTP-TV, security footage captured the exchange between Howard, driving a white Volvo, and the driver of a blue BMW. The victim is seen striking Howard before passing out.
After returning to his vehicle, the victim—later identified as 38-year-old Luis Damian Martinez Ortiz—slide into the median. According to local officials, he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was declared dead at the hospital.
According to court documents, Howard had been released on a $11,500 bail related to a domestic abuse complaint since August 6. That’s when he was saved by the Minnesota Freedom Fund.
Concerning the interstate shooting, he was charged with two charges of second-degree murder on August 29.
In a tweet on Friday, the Minnesota Freedom Fund acknowledged that it had a part in getting Howard back on the streets.
“We are aware of reports of the tragic and fatal shooting in Minneapolis earlier this week allegedly involving George Howard, an individual the Minnesota Freedom Fund had previously provided with bail support,” the group wrote. “MFF believes that every individual who has been arrested by the law enforcement is innocent until proven guilty, and if a judge deems them eligible for bail, they should not have to wait in jail simply because they don’t have the same income or access to resources as others.”
The group declared that it was examining its policies and keeping an eye on the case.
“Under new leadership, MFF has implemented changes to its policies and procedures, and we will continue to assess them to ensure that we are being responsive to the safety and needs of our community,” it said in a follow-up tweet.
“Pay cash bail and immigration bonds for those who can’t afford it, because wealth should never decide who is kept in detention and who goes free,” states the website of the Minnesota Freedom Fund.
