In a 2014 Facebook post, Biden’s Monkeypox spokesperson Dr. Demetre Daskalakis said that “We’ll Steal Your Soul.”

Dr. Demetre Daskalakis was appointed the White House’s deputy coordinator for the monkeypox response on August 2. He previously worked for the New York City Health Department under Mayor Bill de Blasio and is now the Division Director for HIV Prevention at the CDC.

Daskalakis, who graduated from New York University Medical School and went on to complete a residency, fellowship, and another master’s degree at Harvard Medical School, is well known for his work in the area of HIV and other diseases affecting the LGBTQ+ population. He claimed in a 2014 interview with The Atlantic that “I learned my bedside manner from East Village drag queens.” He majored in general and religion while an undergraduate at Columbia University. Dr. Daskalakis, who was raised by Greek Orthodox immigrants in Arlington, Virginia, has a fondness for pentagrams and other Satanic symbology.

To put it mildly, Daskalakis’ social media activity is unsettling. In New York, he and his partner Michael MacNeal founded the “goth” gym Monster Cycle, which at first operated out of the well-known Equinox gym chain before branching out into its own brand and moving into a former homosexual nightclub that had previously occupied a former church.

The social media profiles of Monster Cycle are replete with references to Satanism, the devil, burning crosses, pentagrams, and other pagan symbols. Although the New York Times gave the gym excellent reviews in 2014 (see below), its review on “SweatConcierge” made mention of “alarming” graphics and “terrifying” co-ed changing rooms.

In the same year, MacNeal said to the New York Post, “There’s light even in darkness,” which is closely related to a tattoo of the same phrase on the chest of Dr. Daskalakis, Joe Biden’s partner and the monkeypox coordinator.

Daskalakis has a tattoo of a pentagram on his body that reads, “I have learned there is light even in the darkest places.” Additionally, he has ink on his body that depicts an animal’s corpse, a serpent, a head with three eyes, and what might be a representation of Jesus Christ or a Saint.

It’s not the only time Daskalakis and MacNeal mention Christ in their social media posts. A lit crucifix of Jesus Christ is seen lying on a pentagram on the table in a sequence of photographs from 2012 that seem to show a seance or Ouija board ritual.

Another photo from the same evening shows MacNeal using the Ouija board with the crucifix with producer buddy Bianca Grey. In a another photo from 2011, Daskalakis appears to be making fun of Christ in the painting of the Last Supper.

There is almost any end to the troubling associations and imagery. The White House employee can be seen in an image from October 2011 with a pentagram helmet with an upside-down cross above it. In the background, MacNeal looks to be donning a thorny crown.

Additional pentagram images may be found on the Monster Cycle’s social media profiles that either include the duo or their pals or both. In a 2014 Facebook post, the message is “We’ll steal your soul.”

The Satanic Temple TV is one of the Instagram accounts Daskalakis follows. Its mission is as follows:

We will entertain and challenge, delight and disgust. We will explore the artistic, political and transgressive roots of modern Satanism. We will give voice to our diverse communities as Satanists, atheists and social justice activists in a global society.

Additionally, MacNeal and Daskalakis seem to have been “married” in 2013 in a dark and occult ceremony. Daskalakis didn’t have as many occult tattoos as he does today until he met MacNeal.

The two had previously attended a concert by reality drag diva Sharon Needles. In that year, it was discovered that Needles had been performing with overtly racist imagery and frequently using the n-word. A denial was given at the time, but others have since had similar experiences with Needles, citing regular use of the word “n*gger” and jokes about the 9/11 attacks.

A 15-year-old fan was allegedly exposed to drugs, alcohol, photographs of his penis, and unwanted contact in 2021 by Needles. His accuser, Annecy, said the drag queen “gave me weed shotguns pretty much kissed me on the mouth a billion times,” later adding, “beer is gross Sharon made me try it and I spat it everywhere.”

MacNeal included the hashtag “#HellYeah” in his tweet about Needles, which is also the name of his occult gym.

Leading gay publication The Advocate, which published another Biden hire, Sam Brinton, defending a website called “Rent Boy” notorious for matching older homosexual men with boys, has praised Daskalakis’s efforts.

Daskalakis made his Instagram page private while this piece was being written, despite the fact that much of the content has already been archived.
