South Africa Says Its Citizens Serving In Israel’s Military Will Be Arrested

During a pro-Palestine gathering, South Africa's Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor said that its citizens serving in Israel's military would be arrested.

Longtime members of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), many of whom hold dual citizenship, are men and women of foreign birth who are Americans, British, European, and other nationalities. For instance, Israel declared earlier this week that Hamas was responsible for the killing of 19-year-old Sgt. Itay Chen, an Israeli soldier who was also a dual citizen of the US, during his time in the IDF.

According to Reuters, a court has ordered the Netherlands to halt F-35 parts for Israel due to concerns that the transfer may aid in human rights breaches.
