Russian Drone Army: Plan To Dominate The Skies With 1.4 Million Drones

Russia is taking a huge step to boost its military power by creating a brand-new army unit focused on drones. Andrey Belousov, Russia's Defense Minister, recently revealed plans to form this unit, which will be called the Unmanned Systems Troops. This decision comes directly from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been pushing for more advanced drone technology to be used on the battlefield.

Belousov made the announcement during a meeting with top military officials, where he highlighted that the new unit would be ready by the third quarter of 2025. This comes after Putin made it clear that Russia must focus on enhancing its drone capabilities. According to Belousov, Russia is already using over 3,500 drones every day on the front lines in Ukraine, and that number is growing rapidly.
