After Losing Proxy War In Ukraine, US Now Wants Regime Change In Russia

Following Vladimir Putin's special military operation in Ukraine, a slew of foreign policy "experts" are suddenly pushing for "regime change" in Russia.

Benjamin Wittes in a recent tweet stated that the goal of US and its ruling class after losing the proxy war in Ukraine is a regime change in Russia.

The opinion appears to be at odds with the majority of the population, reminiscent of the establishment's disastrous efforts for regime change in countries like Afghanistan and Iraq, where military battles cost numerous American lives and resources. Nearly three-quarters of Americans reject the United States playing a big role in the conflict.

In a recent tweet, Benjamin Wittes, a Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., summed up the establishment's ultimate policy goal for Russia: "Regime change: Russia."
