In an interview published on Wednesday, biographer David Garrow revealed that Former President Barack Obama had expressed fantasies about engaging in sexual relations with other men.
According to Garrow’s interview with Tablet magazine, the ex-president conveyed his fantasies in a letter addressed to a girlfriend during that period. As per Garrow, this specific letter, which is currently held by Emory University, has been redacted.
Garrow informed Tablet magazine that the ex-girlfriend shared a copy of the letter with him but had redacted one paragraph. He further mentioned that the ex-girlfriend disclosed that the redacted section in the letter pertained to “homosexuality.”
“Sometime, right about when Rising Star came out, Alex indirectly sold the original, sold those letters, and they ended up at Emory,” Garrow told Tablet while referencing his 2017 biography of Obama, “Rising Star,” which touched on Obama’s rumored homosexual dreams. “So Emory put out a press release saying, ‘We’ve gotten these rare letters by Barack Obama.’ And no mention of this paragraph that was too sensitive. None of the papers mentioned it. Emory didn’t mention it.”
“So I emailed Harvey [Klehr], said, ‘Go to the Emory archives.’ He’s spent his whole life at Emory, but they won’t let him take pictures,” Garrow said later in the interview. “So Harvey has to sit there with a pencil and copy out the graph where Barack writes to Alex about how he repeatedly fantasizes about making love to men.”
In 1992, Obama tied the knot with Michelle Obama, who would later become the former first lady.
Only a week after the untimely and tragic passing of their close friend and personal chef, Tafari Campbell, the Obamas were seen in public, seemingly unharmed and unfazed.
