More Than 400 Sex Tapes Stir Controversy In Equatorial Guinea’s Finance Ministry

In Equatorial Guinea, a huge scandal has erupted after hundreds of sex tapes featuring a powerful government official were leaked online. The man at the center of this scandal is Baltasar Ebang Engonga, who works as the director of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF). In the videos, Engonga is seen having sexual relations with various women, including the wives of high-ranking officials, right in his office at the Ministry of Finance.

The videos, which have quickly spread on social media, have shocked the nation and caused public outrage. The leaked footage shows Engonga, who is married with children, engaging in these acts in his official office, a place that is supposed to be for government business. The tapes were shared widely, especially through WhatsApp groups and social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter).

As the scandal gained attention, the government of Equatorial Guinea took swift action. Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue announced on social media that anyone involved in such actions, especially civil servants, would be immediately suspended from their jobs. He emphasized that having sex in government offices violates the country’s public ethics and code of conduct. The government even ordered the telecom companies to stop the videos from being shared further, but witnesses reported that internet access in the country has been disrupted as the authorities tried to control the situation.

This is not the first time sex tapes involving government officials have been leaked in the country, but the scale of this incident is much larger. Engonga is not just any civil servant; he is the son of a powerful figure, Baltasar Engonga Edjo, who chairs the Central African Economic and Monetary Community and is also related to the country’s longtime president, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. These connections have made the scandal even more shocking, as it involves some of the most influential people in the country.

In addition to the embarrassment and anger over the sex tapes, there is also legal trouble for Engonga. He had been in jail on charges of embezzling public funds before the tapes surfaced. Now, if medical tests show that he has a sexually transmitted disease, he could face even more charges for putting public health at risk.

The scandal continues to unfold as more details emerge, with rumors suggesting that even more tapes involving other high-ranking individuals could be released soon. This has added fuel to the fire, leaving the nation eagerly waiting for what might come next.
