Based on information gathered by GoBankingRates, this graphic, provided by Marcu Lu of Visual Capitalist, lists the top 10 wealthiest suburbs in the United States.

Methodology
In order to identify the communities with the highest average household income as determined by the American Community Survey of 2022, GoBankingRates looked at communities that have 5,000 or more households. Zillow provided the average house value for each city.
The information was gathered and is up to date as of June 18, 2024.
Scarsdale, NY: Top of the Rankings
Scarsdale, New York, is the wealthiest suburb in the United States, with mean property values of over $1.4 million and an average household income of $568,942. Scarsdale, about 20,000 people, is 11 miles from Manhattan. A sizable Japanese community resides there.
Rye is the second suburb on our list, and it takes less than 15 minutes to get to Scarsdale. It features a typical home value of more than $2 million and an average household income of $405,074.

West University Place, Texas, is the next city on our list. Situated in the Greater Houston region, this city of about 15,000 people is known as “The Neighborhood City” due to its primary use as a bedroom community for affluent families.
The Californian suburb of Los Altos is the fourth on our list. Situated in the San Francisco Bay Area, it is home to 32,000 people. An important hub for commuters in the area, Los Altos was formerly an agricultural hamlet with summer cottages and apricot orchards. Today, it is a residential neighborhood on the western edge of Silicon Valley.
Comparing coast to coast, the East Coast has the wealthiest suburbs; 23 of them, including five each from New York and New Jersey, make up the top 50. West Coast suburbs come in second with nineteen affluent.
Previously, GreatGameInternational reported that SmartAsset’s analysis highlighted the top 10 most expensive U.S. cities for raising children, with Boston-Cambridge-Newton, MA, topping the list at $37,758 annually, followed by San Francisco-Oakland-Berkeley.
