According to several sources during the Qatar World Cup, having sex with anyone other than their spouses can result in up to seven years in jail.

One-night stands could face seven years behind bars if found guilty after Qatar has announced that it will enforce a sex ban ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The Daily Star says that there have been cases of fans with different surnames being prevented from reserving and sharing a room. After games, the World Cup is known for its drinking and partying, but that won’t be the case in Qatar. “With very strict and scary consequences if you are caught. There is a feeling this could be a very bad tournament indeed for fans,” according to a source.

A police source added, “Sex is very much off the menu, unless you are coming as a husband and wife team. There definitely will be no one-night stands at this tournament.”

“There will be no partying at all really. Everyone needs to keep their heads about them, unless they want to risk being stuck in prison. There is essentially a sex ban in place at this year’s World Cup for the first time ever. Fans need to be prepared.”

Fans of the World Cup are by no means exempt from the nation’s ban on having sex with someone who is not their spouse. In addition to having a strong no-drinking-in-public law, Qatar forbids anyone from being intoxicated in public. A person is not to wear overly revealing clothing in public, and public affection between men and women is also prohibited.

Despite FIFA’s declaration that “all are welcome” at the upcoming tournament, there are growing concerns that this may not necessarily be the case given the strict regulations. “The safety and security of every fan is of the utmost importance to us,” said Nasser al-Khater, the chief executive of the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

  1. I think it is just common sense to have some moral code. The very idea that there are people that find it offensive that humans are expected to behave with dignity and grace is a poor testament to the quality of humans overall. There needs to be a return to the idea that fidelity and dignity matter. There needs to be an age of humanity where we are focused on making our lives, our world a better quality. There can be no question as to whether or not cheating is a bad idea, the same with public drunkenness, it obviously is on both counts. Bravo for Qatar for having the courage and conviction to insist on decency. I think it makes this a good place to live. #ZillowQatar <3

  2. Moral code? Vlad the impaler had a moral code. Video website are full of examples of Muslim moral code.

If people had the courage to act instead of “just going along”, they should band together to boycott this event. Besides, I hear the Qatar is a piggy bank for the absolutely wrong people. Who wants to feed that?

  3. Qatary hypocrisy at work here. Yes, it is a good thing to be faithful to one’s spouse or to avoid fornication. Actually it is Christian morality that used to be the norm in Christian nations before immorality took over on a massive way.
But what do the Qatari have to say ref. the rape epidemics brought in western nations through massive immigration of Muslim men ? What’s their stance on that ? Do they call it bad too ?
Besides, as someone commented, what about the ugly treatment of foreign workers by rich Qatary people? That’s part of morality too.

The Qatari authorities will stay silent because there is Islamic justification for those actions. Justification that might prove a tad embarrassing until they are just on their own again.

Core Islamic doctrine is that the Muslims must subjugate the whole world so that the only religion is Islam and all worship is for their Allah. One of the weapons of Islamic warfare is “Hijra”, migration. In fact some Islamic clerics have boasted that they will conquer the West “through the wombs of our women”. Muslim men know that their women have only one role in life – produce many children.

Then also remember that in Islamic ideology, the world is divided into only two parts: Dar al Islam (The House of Submission) and Dar al Harb (The House of War). So the Muslim man coming to the West is a warrior and the Islamic laws of behaviour during a time of war apply. One of which is that you can do what you like with the women that you possess in your right hand (ie captives of war). Obviously if you are with a woman long enough to rape her, she is your captive. Even if she is married up to the point of her capture, her marriage is dissolved by the act of her capture.

If anyone wishes to argue that I am wrong, please give references to the sections of Umdat al Saliq aka The Reliance of the Traveller (a classic manual of Islamic Sacred Law) on which you rely.
