In connection with suspected tax fraud, the Income Tax agency searched the offices of Bengaluru-based pharmaceutical company Micro Labs Ltd on Wednesday, reports the Hindustan Times. Micro Labs Ltd produced the Dolo-650 tablet, which has been frequently used by Covid-19 patients for the past two years.

Officials stated that as part of the investigations, the government is taking a look at financial records, balance sheets, and the company’s commercial distributor networks.

A response to the PTI’s questions on the incident from the company is pending.

They claimed that the company’s promoters’ and distributors’ locations, as well as certain other associated places in other cities, are also covered.

According to the company’s website, in addition to doing business abroad, it manufactures and markets pharmaceutical products and APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) and has 17 manufacturing facilities nationwide.

Dolo-650, Amlong, Lubrex, Diapride, Vildapride, Olmat, Avas, Tripride, Bactoclav, Tenepride-M, and Arbitel are some of its most important pharmaceutical products.
