How difficult might it be for the world’s richest individual to commission a team of Tesla engineers to create a smartphone? Elon Musk might just be set to build an alternative phone if Apple and Google ban Twitter from app stores.
There have been rumors that Twitter’s deplatforming from app stores may occur as a result of its new owner Elon Musk’s dedication to free speech, reports Fox Business. If Apple or Google decide to remove the social networking platform from their stores, Musk suggested a straightforward solution on Friday night: create a smartphone. And how challenging can that be?
Musk answered Liz Wheeler, a commentator on the right, who posted on twitter: “If Apple & Google boot Twitter from their app stores, @elonmusk should produce his own smartphone. Half the country would happily ditch the biased, snooping iPhone & Android. The man builds rockets to Mars, a silly little smartphone should be easy, right?”
“I certainly hope it does not come to that,” Musk told Wheeler, “but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone.”
The possibility of app stores targeting Twitter arose after Apple executive Phil Schiller cancelled his Twitter account for no apparent reason just days after ex – president Trump’s account was reinstated on the network.

The former head of trust and safety at Twitter, Yoel Roth, warned in a New York Times op-ed that Twitter under Musk’s management is at jeopardy of being pulled from Apple and Google’s application stores if they fail to adhere to guidelines:
He explained, “as I departed the company, the calls from the app review teams had already begun.”
How difficult might it be for the world’s richest individual to commission a team of Tesla engineers to create a smartphone? In all Tesla vehicles, cellular-connected huge iPad-like screens have already been mounted on the dashboard.
If Apple or Google do not remove Twitter from their app stores, Wheeler provided Musk with an idea. How long will it be until Musk announces the Tesla smartphone and requests $100 deposits?
