The Delhi Police are now investigating whether this incident is linked to pro-Khalistani groups. They have reached out to Telegram, a messaging app, to gather information about a group that claimed responsibility for the blast. This group, calling itself “Justice League India,” posted on social media, suggesting the explosion was in retaliation for attacks on their members by Indian authorities.

Details of the Blast

The blast occurred on Sunday morning, creating a large hole in the school’s outer wall. Police discovered some strange white powder scattered at the site, which they believe may be part of the explosive used. Initial reports suggest that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was hidden in a shallow pit near the wall.

After the incident, police quickly reviewed CCTV footage from the area. They spotted a suspect wearing a white T-shirt near the school the night before the explosion, raising suspicions about his involvement.

What the Telegram Post Said

The group behind the post made bold claims, stating that Indian agents were trying to silence their voices by targeting them. Their post included hashtags like #KhalistanZindabad, signaling a potential connection to Khalistani separatist movements.

“The police have written to Telegram to find out who created this group and shared the CCTV footage linked to the explosion,” a police source revealed. The authorities are taking the claims seriously as they investigate the matter further.

Ongoing Investigation

Delhi Police, along with teams from the Crime Branch and Special Cell, are working hard to piece together the evidence. They have filed a First Information Report (FIR) under various laws concerning public safety and explosive materials.

Experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and National Security Guard (NSG) have also been called in to examine the site and collect samples. These samples will help determine the exact makeup of the explosive used in the blast.

On a related note, police have recently received reports about bomb threats to about 100 schools in Delhi and Noida. However, they believe these threats are hoaxes and have urged people not to panic.

The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover the truth behind the blast and any potential connections to larger groups operating in the region.
