Even while the Biden administration advises that everyone above the age of five receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Thursday that there is presently insufficient data to show that the boosters actually cut risks of hospitalization or mortality in children.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, questioned Fauci about studies that indicated a decrease in hospitalizations or fatalities for kids who had boosters during a hearing of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.

“Right now, there’s not enough data that has been accumulated, Senator Paul, to indicate that that’s the case,” Fauci stated. The senator interrupted the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases as he was starting to explain that he believed the rationale for the proposal had to do with examining the morbidity and mortality of children in various age groups.

“So there are no studies. And Americans should all know this. There are no studies on children showing a reduction in hospitalization or death with taking a booster,” Paul said.

Paul, a doctor who made the observation that only antibody trials had been conducted, claimed that this was insufficient evidence of a vaccine’s effectiveness. He asserted that a vaccine is not required only because it causes antibodies. He used the example that while a person may receive 10 booster shots and receive antibodies from each one, this does not imply that they must.

Paul’s hypothetical was referred to as “somewhat of an absurd exaggeration,” by Fauci, who appeared virtually because he now has COVID-19, but Paul insisted that this is essentially what the government seems to be doing.

“That’s not science. That’s conjecture. And we should not be making public policy on it,” he said.

Paul acknowledged that while there is “there is probably some indication” that boosters are advantageous for older individuals who run the risk of developing COVID-19, this is not the situation for younger individuals. On the contrary, he warned that the vaccine might be dangerous for children. Paul brought up recent studies showing a higher risk of myocarditis in males between the ages of 12 and 24 who receive a second dose of a vaccination.

Additionally, the Republican senator charged that the government had hidden information regarding pediatric COVID-19 cases. Paul was especially curious in how many kids who had previously contracted COVID-19 perished or ended up in the hospital as a result of it.

“The answer may be zero, but you’re not even giving us the data,” Paul said.

In response to the possibility of reinfection from the omicron variant, Fauci did not directly address the subject but did indicate that the “optimal degree of protection” following infection is to then receive vaccination.

  1. I CANNOT bring myself to watch! Paul has ALL the information, yet he calls it a ‘DISEASE1.’ SO many scientists and virologists have reported that this is a parasite, which is WHY Ivermectin works! There are SO MANY witnesses Paul can call, but they are NOT ALLOWED!This has been a SCAM from the beginning, just like the SCAM Phone Calls. Fauci DOES NOT WORK FOR AMERICANS, and he is NOT A PUBLIC SERVANT! Arrest him, finally, and STOP THIS SHOW! PLEASE!
