Local police reported on Thursday that more than 500kg of cocaine was found in a shipment of coffee beans at a Nespresso factory in Fribourg, Switzerland.

On Monday, a group of workers at the factory in Romont discovered the white powder bundled with bags of freshly delivered coffee beans from Brazil. Nearly two dozen customs officers and local authorities were dispatched to investigate the item, which is said to be 80% pure and worth more than $50 million.

The narcotic did not come into contact with the actual coffee, according to police, who believe the unusual cargo was “isolated.” The investigation is still underway.
