According to the financial bank Natixis’s Global Retirement Index, the best country to grow old in is Norway, with it scoring 81 in the index.

The Scandinavian nation tops the financial bank Natixis’s Global Retirement Index (pdf below) for this year.

According to Statista’s Martin Armstrong, 44 nations from around the world were evaluated for the ranking based on aspects like health, retirement finances, quality of life, and material well-being in old age. The final step was to assign an index score, with 100 points representing the ideal outcome.

This year’s biggest fallers is Iceland. The island country will only finish third in 2022 with 79 points. Iceland received four more points and finished first in the ranking from the previous year.
