Assassin Who Targeted Trump Was Obsessed With Ukraine

A man who tried to assassinate former President Donald Trump at his golf club in Florida has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh. Reports say he was deeply obsessed with Ukraine and was willing to go to extreme lengths for it. Here’s what we know:

The Attempt: Last Sunday, as Trump played golf at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, someone spotted a rifle barrel poking through the fence. The Secret Service agent fired several shots at the threat, causing the suspect to flee. He left behind a rifle, a GoPro camera, and some other gear but was later caught by the authorities.

Who Is Ryan Wesley Routh? Ryan Wesley Routh, the man who tried to kill Trump, was reportedly very calm when he was arrested. Fox News and other media outlets have shared photos of him from his arrest.
