Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has proposed a bold new military alliance, the “Abraham Alliance,” aimed at countering Iran’s influence, similar to NATO but for the Middle East. Speaking before the U.S. Congress, Netanyahu compared the proposed alliance to America’s Cold War-era security pacts and emphasized its necessity in light of recent attacks from Iran. His proposal, which includes nations friendly or aiming to be friendly with Israel, reflects a deepening collaboration with the U.S. and allies in the face of regional threats. Netanyahu’s speech also highlighted his government’s ongoing battle with Hamas and its ambitious goals for victory.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, has suggested forming the “Abraham Alliance,” a new military alliance fashioned like NATO that would be directed at Iran.
On Wednesday, Netanyahu gave a speech in front of the US Congress in a joint session. He broke Winston Churchill’s record with his fourth speech to the US Congress, however, roughly 70 members of the House and Senate were unable to attend for various reasons reports RT.

“America forged a security alliance in Europe to counter the growing Soviet threat,” Netanyahu said at one point. “Likewise, America and Israel today can forge a security alliance in the Middle East to counter the growing Iranian threat.”
He claimed that on April 14, when Iran launched a missile and drone attack against Israel and the US and the UK assisted in shooting down some of them, there was a “glimpse” of that alliance in action.
During his administration, US President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump were credited by Netanyahu for “bringing that alliance together” and mediating the “Abraham Accords” between Israel and numerous Arab nations.
“I think we should call it the Abraham Alliance,” he said of the proposed NATO-like bloc.
Iran poses a menace to all of the nations in the bloc, including those that are at peace with West Jerusalem or plan to do so, according to the Israeli prime minister.
“When we fight Iran, we are fighting the most radical and murderous enemy of the United States,” Netanyahu said. When Israel fights and works to prevent a nuclear Iran, “we are not only protecting ourselves, we are protecting you,” he argued.
“Our enemies are your enemies, our fight is your fight, our victories will be your victories,” Netanyahu told US lawmakers. “I know that America has our back.”
Since Netanyahu started a nine-month war with Hamas in response to the Palestinian armed group’s raid out of Gaza, the US has provided military assistance to Israel. West Jerusalem has shown reluctance to embrace Biden’s government’s three-stage ceasefire plan for the enclave, despite pressure from Palestinian and Arab Americans in his party.
Netanyahu declared, “Total victory means that Israel will not stop until it has destroyed the military capabilities of Hamas, ended its rule in Gaza, and recovered all the captives taken in the October 7 attack.” And we will settle for nothing less.”
Recently, GreatGameInternational reported that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), responsible for aiding Palestinian refugees, could soon be declared a terrorist organization by Israel, stripping its staff of immunity and banning its operations within the country.
