Monteleone, 63, of New Jersey, took his amphibious car, Amphicar, for a swim at the Jersey Shore. The car is one of only 3,878 Amphicars ever built.

When Steven Monteleone starts his car, the engine roars to life. His 1967 convertible, which is over 50 years old, is powered by a 1147 cc straight-4 Triumph engine. On this warm summer day, he rides through the streets of Ortley Beach with the top down and the sun is shining.

However, he then does something very unexpected. The unfathomable. Monteleone cruises down a Jersey Shore boat dock and into Barnegat Bay in his lovingly restored fjord green beauty. Monteleone, you see, is the proud owner of a one-of-a-kind Amphicar. It's half a car, half a boat, and all vintage fun.

Since he was in his twenties, Monteleone, aka Captain Monty, has coveted one of these. He's now 63 years old and living his dream. In 2015, he was fortunate to obtain one of these unique rides, which he has meticulously cared for ever since. Onlookers smil...
