In a big step towards making India stronger and more self-reliant in defense, the Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed a deal worth Rs 13,500 crore (around $1.5 billion) with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to produce 12 Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jets.
