Hezbollah’s Nasrallah Threatens War Without Limits: Cyprus And Israel’s Gas Fields At Risk

Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s leader, has warned of a boundless war if Israel invades Lebanon, threatening Cyprus and Israel’s Mediterranean gas fields amid escalating tensions and military preparations.

Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Shia paramilitary group, has warned of a battle “without rules or ceilings” if Israeli forces launch an invasion in Lebanon, amid numerous rumors and declarations that Israel and Hezbollah are on the verge of a full-scale conflict.

The previous day, Israel’s top generals said that battle plans for an advance into Lebanon and an expansion of the war had been approved. This prompted the remarks made today. In a statement, the IDF stated that it is getting ready to “accelerate readiness in the field.”

The enemy has to wait for us on land, in the air, and at sea. We reiterate: The resistance will fight without limits, regulations, or guidelines if war is declared on Lebanon “Nasrallah answered on Tuesday.

According to Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, “storming the Galilee is a possibility that remains present within the framework of any war that the occupation may launch against Lebanon.”

And that’s when considering that the island nation that speaks Greek now has a bilateral defense cooperation pact with Israel, he issued a warning to Cyprus for the first time since the conflict started on October 7.

“Opening Cypriot airports and bases to the Israeli enemy to target Lebanon would mean that the Cypriot government is part of the war, and the resistance will deal with it as part of the war,” Nasrallah stated.

He added that there would be attacks on locations in the Mediterranean. Four troops were killed in 2006 when an Israeli Navy cruiser, the INS Hanit, was directly hit by a Hezbollah anti-ship missile, most likely manufactured in Iran.

Israeli media is also interpreting his recent remarks to suggest that attacks could target energy platforms and gas resources in the Mediterranean:

Israel “knows that what also awaits it in the Mediterranean is very big,” Nasrallah added, without elaborating, possibly insinuating the group could attack its offshore gas rigs.

Israel has occasionally carried out combined military exercises with Cypriot forces, even though it is unknown have any bases or ports in Cyprus.

The most likely scenario is that Israeli jets would launch from either one of the two British facilities still in existence on Cyprus, or from Cypriot ones. Undoubtedly, an intensifying air war over southern Lebanon would accompany any larger Israeli campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Further cautionary words were spoken by Nasrallah in his statement on Tuesday: “We developed some of our weapons and used new weapons that we had not used previously.” Israeli officials are alarmed by a new drone photo that Hezbollah managed to take over Haifa, the country’s third-largest city.

Recently, GreatGameIndia reported that, according to Israeli media, which the IDF later confirmed, Hezbollah targeted an Israeli fighter jet with anti-aircraft missiles for the first time against Israel.
