Georgian PM blames Global War Party For Trump Assassination Attempt

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has revealed that he received threats after exposing an assassination attempt against Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico. He recently claimed that the same group he calls the “Global War Party” was also behind assassination attempt on Trump.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has raised serious concerns about increasing violence and extremism in global politics, particularly criticizing what he calls “liberal fascism” and radicalism in the U.S. and Europe. He recently revealed that he received threats after exposing an assassination attempt against Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico, linking these events to a broader group he refers to as the “Global War Party.” This group allegedly uses foreign funding to influence social and political changes in countries like Georgia.

Kobakhidze’s government has been proactive in addressing foreign interference, especially through the Transparency Law, which aims to prevent secretive foreign funding in Georgian politics. He also highlighted how foreign media and organizations contribute to negative perceptions of leaders, similar to the investigation into the shooting of Fico in Slovakia. Countries like Georgia, Slovakia, and Hungary are taking steps to expose and limit such foreign influence, emphasizing the need for transparency in political funding.

Kobakhidze has boldly linked the recent assassination attempt on Donald Trump to what he calls the “Global War Party.” He expressed his support for Trump, wishing him a speedy recovery after the attack, which he condemned in a heartfelt Facebook message.

Kobakhidze claimed the Global War Party was behind assassination attempt on Trump

By framing the Trump assassination attempt as part of a larger issue, Kobakhidze emphasizes its seriousness and the potential risks it poses to international security. His statement is likely to fuel discussions about the safety of political leaders and the threats posed by extremism today.

What is the Global War Party

The “Global War Party” is accused by the Georgian political group Georgian Dream claiming it’s a secret international organization that influences the EU and the US, causing the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war and trying to destabilize Georgia’s government.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has called this group a major threat, saying fighting against it is crucial for Georgia’s future. He warned that giving in to them could lead to Georgia facing a similar fate as Ukraine.

Many in the West, including US officials, have dismissed these claims as ridiculous. They say the real problem lies in Moscow, not in a hidden “Global War Party.”

Georgian Dream leaders believe this “Global War Party” is pushing for Georgia to join the conflict in Ukraine, which they argue would be disastrous given Russia’s military strength. They also claim that Western pressures have led to unfair treatment of Georgia in international politics.

In rallies and speeches, they’ve linked this theory to various political events, claiming outside forces are manipulating Georgia’s future.

As investigations continue into the motives behind the attack, Kobakhidze’s voice adds weight to the conversation about protecting democratic values and public figures. The incident occurred on July 13 at a Pennsylvania rally, just days before Trump was set to accept the Republican nomination for a third time. During the attack, gunfire erupted, causing panic, and Trump, injured but defiant, was quickly whisked away by the Secret Service.
